About SuperK
We are building one of South India's most exciting retail networks — and supply chain is how we scale. Today, we run one Distribution Center at Kadapa and 2 transit hubs servicing the Rayalaseema region. Within the next 12–15 months, that footprint becomes a multi-DC, multi-hub network: a second DC for an adjacent region, 4–5 hubs (several operating as mini-DCs), procurement operations consolidated under supply chain, and the operating model that holds it all together.
We are hiring a Senior Manager – Supply Chain Operations to lead that next chapter. This role bundles network operations, procurement operations, planning, and the SC control tower into a single owner — accountable for availability, service, cost, and scale-up across the network. You'll inherit a working network and a strong team, and take both through their highest-growth phase yet.
About the role
Be the eyes and hands of the supply chain function on the ground. Quantify how operations actually work today across procurement, DC operations, transportation and last-mile — surface inefficiencies, co-develop hypotheses with the strategy team, and run controlled pilots to prove what works before we scale.
The role builds the baseline itself — time-motion studies, process maps and ground data collection across every node — and moves from symptoms to root cause backed by data. Every recommendation is written as a falsifiable hypothesis with a target metric and expected delta, then tested through a controlled pilot (control vs. test, sample, duration and success criteria locked with the strategy team upfront) that the associate personally runs on the floor. The loop is closed with an honest pre/post readout against baseline, and wins are converted into SOPs that the ops team is trained on and audited against until they stick.
What you will be doing
- DC productivity: Drive units-per-man-hour and dock-to-stock TAT across inbound, putaway, picking and dispatch. Eliminate idle time and rework loops.
- Transportation efficiency: Improve vehicle fill rate, cost-per-km and on-time dispatch %. Reduce detention and empty-return kilometres.
- Last-mile performance: Lift delivery success rate (first-attempt %), drops-per-route and cost-per-drop. Cut returns and re-attempts.
- Procurement reliability: Improve supplier on-time-in-full (OTIF), inbound rejection % and PO-to-receipt cycle time.
- Inventory health: Hit target inventory accuracy (>99%), reduce shrinkage and bring down days-of-inventory at every node.
- Cost-to-serve: Track it end-to-end per order/SKU and lead initiatives that bring it down without breaking service levels.
- Standard work: Convert every working pilot into an SOP, train the ops team and audit adherence weekly.
- Operating cadence: Run a weekly ops review with hard numbers — what moved, what didn’t, what’s next. No narrative without data.
What we are looking for
- Tier-1 college graduate.
- Comfortable spending 60–70% of time on the ground — DCs, trucks, mandis, retail outlets — across geographies. Tier-2/3 town travel is non-negotiable.
- Strong Excel; working knowledge of SQL and dashboard tools like metabase; able to build a clean deck.
- Structured thinkers — can break ambiguous problems into measurable parts.
- English mandatory; Telugu a strong plus.
